FTXの日本事業が顧客資産返還へ
国内暗号資産（仮想通貨）取引所FTX Japanは29日、親会社FTXグローバル破綻の影響で凍結（出金停止）中の顧客資産について、2023年2月中旬を目処に出金再開予定を発表した。
ユーザーから預かっている仮想通貨および法定通貨（日本円）の出庫・出金については、FTXが買収したLiquid Japanから出金可能となるようにシステム開発を進めている。
返金プロセス
スケジュールとしては、FTX Japanの資産返還対象となるユーザーに対し、Liquid Japanの口座開設用リンクが電子メールで送信される。すでにLiquid Japanの口座を持っている場合には新たな口座開設は不要だ。ユーザーへの連絡、およびLiquid Japan口座開設の受付開始は1月中旬を予定している。
次に2月中旬には、ユーザーはLiquid Japanにログインし、残高の確認とFTX Japanからの資産移管が可能になる。また、同時期にLiquid Japanから資産の出金・出庫ができるようになる見込みだ。
Liquidの口座開設時には、本人確認手続きが必要になる場合もあるが、その場合は個別に通知するとしている。
今回発表されたタイムライン通り順調に進んだ場合、ユーザーにとっては、確定申告期限である3月中旬までの納税計算に間に合う可能性がある。ただ、FTX Japanは、「外部セキュリティ監査の進捗状況」により、スケジュールが変更になる可能性もあると説明しており、留意しておきたい。
FTX Tradingは2022年、Liquidおよび子会社のQUOINE株式会社を買収し、会社名をFTX Japanに変更していた。

最新の顧客資産管理状況
FTX Japanは親会社を含むFTXグループの破綻後、金融庁監督の元、顧客資産の管理状況について定期報告を行ってきた。
金融庁の定める厳格なルールおよび日本法に準拠した分別管理を行い、預かり資産以上の額をコールドウォレット上で管理していたことから、FTXグローバルによる影響を最小限に収め、他国に先駆け円滑な返還プロセスに進んだものと見られる。

開示された資料によれば、ビットコイン（BTC）、イーサリアム（ETH）をはじめとする取り扱いのある14銘柄全てにおいて、顧客の預かり資産を上回る量を保管している。
また、法定通貨残高も、顧客の預入資産を約3億円上回る約63億円を管理していると発表した。
日本事業の売却を申し立て
米国で11月に破産申請したFTXは16日、FTX Japanのサービスなど4つの事業を売却することを破産裁判所に申し立てている。
FTX Japanの他、FTX Europeと、デリバティブ取引所LedgerX、清算とカストディのプラットフォームEmbedの売却を申請する形だ。これら4事業は規制下にあったことや事業の独立性が他のグループ企業より高かったために、売却プロセスが比較的容易に行えると説明している。
